Want space, luxury and status perks? Stop reading now. But the Bloc isn't cheap and nasty by any means - rooms are fitted out to a high standard, they're just very very small (think a cross between a Japanese capsule hotel and a cruise ship cabin). Rooms aren't designed to linger - they're for air passengers who just want a bed for the night. You're paying for convenience here - reception's right next to the entrance to security in the south terminal so you really can get out of bed an hour before your flight (if you're brave)!

Comments: Good sized bed verging on a super-king.
Comments: Lights, air conditioning and window blinds are controlled from a Samsung tablet mounted in the wall next to the bed.
Comments: Large wall-mounted flat screen TV at end of bed, with Freesat. VIP rooms have Sky. Free Wi-Fi.
Comments: No amenities to speak of, apart from an in-house magazine with discount coupons for airport shops & restaurants.
Comments: Tiny "wet room" style bathroom. Everything gets wet when you shower! Basic toiletries provided.
